[Ah. Another day, another mountain of paperwork. He's coming in a little early to get a jump on this all before the day starts, but not too early. Wouldn't want to give people the impression that he's a workaholic or something. That could be unfortunate.]

[Anyhoo, he's coming up on the building. Yawning quite intensely. Maybe he should've had another coffee or seven before he came in. Or tried to get a decent night's sleep. Something along those lines.]

[He almost jumps when he sees Maxxie outside his office, looking around to see if anyone else is here yet. (Did they see him? Will they ask questions? Will they suddenly become interested in his personal life?)]

Hey-- Are you okay? [why are you here] How long have you been out here?

[He shrugs.]

Few minutes.

[That's a lie, but he's been playing games on his phone to pass the time. But that doesn't matter. He glances down the hall and then leans in to give Terry a quick kiss on the cheek.]

Just wanted to see you. Thought we could... hang out.

[Is that an innuendo? Because Terry is absolutely not getting it.]

I've got a bit of time, I guess.

[Better unlock that door so they can both go in.]

Cool.

[It's a testament to how much Maxxie likes Terry that this is not an innuendo at all, even though he might be hoping for a bit of face on face action if Terry's in the mood. He eagerly waits for Terry to unlock the door and follows him in, hands stuffed in his pockets. Until, of course he notices the bit of lint on Terry's shoulder and goes to pick it off.]

[Geez is it difficult to fight the urge to casually shrug Maxxie off. But this is Normal it's What Couples Do. This is no time for a dating crisis, it's time for boyfriending.]

[SO in spite of his little crisis there, he manages to get it down to a raised eyebrow at Maxxie instead.] Am I presentable?

[Smooth.]

[He purses his lips, trying not to smile too widely.]

Almost. Just let me...

[He smooths down Terry's collar and adjusts his tie about a millimeter just as an excuse for his hands to linger there because he's allowed to do this now.]

[No that's too cute. Terry watches his face a moment, but then he remembers the beautiful thing about this situation is that if he wants to kiss Maxxie he can. So he does. Just a quick peck, but it's pretty affectionate all the same.]

Thanks.

Yeah.

[He'd like to leave it at that in case Terry wants to leave it at that, but instead he bounces on the balls of his feet a couple times and then leans in for another kiss. This one's longer but still sweet, his hands lightly resting on Terry's chest.]

Shit, I really like doing that.

Me too.

[There may even be a hint of a smile on that frozen grouchy face right now.]

I came in early to do some work, but... [Mmnope.]

I think this is a better use of your time.

[By "this" he means himself. Just shower Maxxie with affection that's your only job now.]

I don't know if I'm convinced.

[Maxxie tilts his head with a smirk, taking half a step closer into Terry's personal space.]

What, you need me to convince you?

[He takes the end of Terry's tie in his hand, just to play with it as he gives Terry his most inviting grin.]

[God he's actually smiling, what is this.]

All I'm saying is I really like you, but I don't know if that's enough to tear me away from all this paperwork.

Aw, come on.

[He puts his hands on Terry's waist and starts lazily planting kisses on his neck.]

What's a guy gotta do to be persuasive around here?

I don't know. Teach a flock of doves to fly in formation, spelling my name in the sky and maybe they could bring me an espresso?

[He slips an arm around Maxxie's waist and sighs, looking all thoughtful and whatnot.]

This is pretty good too.

Yeah, I'll get to all that stuff later.

[He makes a mental note to bring coffee next time he waits outside Terry's door first thing in the morning. But for now there is Terry's neck to focus on. And also his mouth because that's where Maxxie's working up towards so they can do that kissing thing again.]

[Well then. Terry tilts his head when Maxxie's face is in kissable range so they can do that thing. Honestly this whole thing is surprisingly easy if he doesnt give himself the time to freak out.]

[Well Maxxie's all about this kissing business. He wraps his arms around Terry's shoulders and grins and kisses Terry's dumb face. He also shuffles a little towards Terry's desk so he can lean on it while he kisses Terry's dumb face.]

[He'll just go as directed then, shuffling with Maxxie. And also put a hand down on the desk to lean on it too.]

[Maxxie puts the situation on pause, pushing some of the stuff on Terry's desk gently out of the way so he can sit on it. When that's all said and done he turns back to Terry with a grin and pulls him in for more kissing.]

[He goes with it for a while, because this is nice and he really, really enjoys it. And also enjoys that he can enjoy it without the world ending or having a panic attack or any of that, but he's getting to that point where he gets anxious about everything, so uh. Looks like they're pulling into Nope Station. Passengers: Terry and his apologetic face.]

[Maxxie honestly didn't expect to get all that far. Still, it's hard to stop when he enjoys this all so much and it's all so new and he wants to spend all his time with his face on Terry's face. But that is not happening right now and he can deal with it.]

[He smiles a bit bashfully.]

I guess you should get to work now, yeah?

[He just feels bad that he has this encyclopedia of hangups to work through every step of the way.]

Probably. [Ugh.]

[He fiddles with Terry's tie again, not quite ready to get off the desk yet.]

Could I still hang out? I'll stay quiet - I've got a book.

Sure. [He is pretty happy for Maxxie to stay. One might even be correct in assuming he'd prefer it.] I won't be great company until I've finished all this though.

[Maxxie retrieves his book and throws himself down in the chair across from Terry's.]

Have you got a lot?

Kind of. [shrug] It's hard to tell until I'm three hours in and I've barely made a dent.

[He makes a face.]

Well, I've got shit to do, so I'll be gone by then.

[In such a put out tone of voice:] Leaving me all on my lonesome.

[Maxxie gives him a wry smile.]

You can see as much of me as you want tonight.

[He looks up from all the paper that is slowly taking up the entirety of his desk and pulls a contemplative face.]

I guess I can survive until then.

[It's so cute when Terry doesn't get his double entendres or innuendo.]

We can watch the last few episodes of [INSERT SHOW HERE??? IT'S A NERDY SHOW FOR SURE].

[It's probably for the best or he'd die of the implications.]

I don't know if I'm ready for that.

[Then it'll be over.]

[Maxxie shrugs.]

We'll find another show to watch.

Mm. [Crosses something out with purpose] We can figure it out later.

Yeah.

[He falls silent and focuses on his book. Given no other distractions he may just fall asleep.]

[Well there shan't be any distractions from Terry, but what he will do is sneak out when he's done with his work and go make them both some coffee. It's not great because people are only willing to bring instant into the office but who cares.]

[Well Maxxie's out like a light (haha get it), so he doesn't wake up when Terry leaves or when he comes back.]

[Well fine. He's gonna put those coffees down and gently nudge Maxxie until he wakes up.]

[He wakes up with a start and blinks a bit before he realizes where he is.]

Shit, sorry.

It's fine. [Cute boyfriends can sleep (almost) anywhere they want.] I have to kick you out soon, but I made you some coffee first.

[Grins and takes the coffee] Thanks.

I should probably get going soon anyway. I've got a rehearsal.

A rehearsal? [He looks up from his work at that.] What for?

[He shrugs.] It's just a bit part in this show downtown. Kind of a shit script, really.

[Raises his eyebrows] You're really selling it to me here.

I'd rather you didn't come see it, honestly. It's kind of embarrassing.
