[He huffs indignantly and scrubs at his eyes. This is dumb emotions are dumb.]

[Maxxie sighs and brushes his thumb back and forth on Terry's cheek.]

Well, this whole thing with Sora would make me really scared if I didn't have you. I mean I'm still scared, but... at least I know I have you, yeah? I just want you to know how important that is.

[He wants to say he's not going anywhere, but he can't make that promise. Terry frowns for a moment and then takes the hand on his face, turning his head a little to kiss Maxxie's palm.]

Yeah, you've got me. Tears and everything.

[Maxxie smiles, soft and sad, and then he cuddles in to tuck head underneath Terry's. Maybe if they just lie down and pretend nothing's wrong he'll feel better.]

[Terry sighs softly and puts his arms back around Maxxie, putting a hand to the back of his head and gently playing with his hair. His feelings are much the same — if they lie here like this for a while, he can pretend there's nothing to worry about. Nothing that matters except Maxxie here with him for however long until he has to face the world again.]
